DUT at the Cities Mission Conference
6-8 May 2025, Vilnius, Lithuania

The fourth edition of the Cities Mission Conference will be held from 6-8 May in Vilnius Lithuania with the theme of “Harnessing City Successes: Advancing Climate Action for 2030“. The conference is organized by the European Commission and the Mission Platform.
The DUT Partnership will be at the conference to highlight the role and potential of research and innovation projects for impactful climate action. Over the course of the 3-day conference, DUT will have its own exhibition stand representing tools, research, and innovations produced by DUT and JPI Urban Europe projects. We will have games, QR codes leading to key tools and guidebooks for cities, as well as information on how to engage with DUT in future calls.
Celebrating Success and Enhancing CooperationÂ
Additionally, DUT will have its own session at the conference on 6 May 14-15.30 CET with the title “From Local Experimentation to Urban Transformation: R&I Projects for Net-Zero“, taking place in Breakout Room 6 (5.3).
The session will bring together city representatives, urban doers, and researchers involved in DUT projects in a discussion around what success cases of R&I climate projects exist, what the needs of different actors are, and how we can jointly work towards climate neutrality in the most impactful way. The session will be highly interactive combining case presentations with a world cafe format to exchange experiences, identify best practices, and discuss strategies for scaling innovations.
