Funding Synergies – from theory to practice

On the 8 June 2023 the Driving Urban Transitions Partnership and ERRIN organized and held in a hybrid modality the “Funding synergies – from theory to practice” workshop, the first DUT event dedicated to synergies with Structural Funds. It has been an opportunity for an informal exchange between the relevant European Commission services and national and regional funding agencies on Synergies. DG REGIO and DG RTD representatives, Mr Karolina Tilman and Mr Peter Schenk, gave an outline of the guidance on “Synergies between Horizon Europe and ERDF programmes” and of the recent developments since it has been adopted. Two synergies implementation cases have been then presented: Ms Teresa Jorge presented the Portuguese Regional Development Department of CCDRCentro involved in the DUT and Ms Cristina Ugarte presented the SPRI Group, Basque Business Development Agency which is involved in the Clean Energy Transitions Partnerships. The workshop concluded after an interesting discussion among the participants who set out their doubt to the EC representatives.
