DUT City Panel
DUT works closely with cities and their representatives. Since 2022, a DUT City Panel has been established as a collaborative platform designed to facilitate exchange and cooperation, as well as engaging cities to co-determine the strategic priorities of the DUT Partnership.
The DUT City Panel offers two key benefits for participating cities:
- Platform for peer-to-peer learning: It provides a space for cities to discuss challenges and strategies for the implementation of the transformation process towards urban climate neutrality. This exchange lives from active exchange and sharing on specific projects and instruments by the participating cities.
- Influence DUT’s strategy: The City Panel offers cities the opportunity to contribute their key needs to shape the development of DUT calls and activities. This ensures that DUT’s initiatives align with and support urban ambitions effectively.
We organise two core events per year that foster collaboration among cities in the City Panel:
- City Panel Meeting (Spring): Hosted in one of the participating cities, this meeting focuses on peer-to-peer exchange and site visits to innovative projects on urban transitions. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
- Online City Panel Meeting (Autumn): This virtual gathering is a space to share, reflect, and discuss the central challenges and open questions related to cities. These will be addressed and implemented in DUT’s activities and research and innovation calls.
Thematic priorities of the DUT Partnership—Circular Urban Economies (CUE), the 15-minute City (15mC), and Positive Energy Districts (PED)—are addressed in an integrated manner at these meetings. Participants engage in small thematic groups to explore each priority on a case-by-case basis.
