UTM is hosting its annual Global Innovation Summit in Viladecans, Spain, on November 3, 2026 (click here for more information). As part of the Summit, DUT holds a session titled "R&I Strategies for Scalable application of AI and digital solutions in cities".
The session will explore how transnational R&I funding programmes can be strategically directed toward integrated digital solutions for urban transitions- such as AI-enabled mobility and accessibility solutions, data-driven urban planning, and integated digital approaches to energy-positive and climate-resilient neighbourhoods.
Participants will discuss how future R&I programems can better support cities in moving promising digital and AI solutions towards wider application. The questions identified in the session will feed into DUT's future programming and call development.
