Urban food production — the practice of growing, processing, and distributing food within cities and their surrounding areas — provides multiple co-benefits for climate action, biodiversity, and circularity. It can also have an educational dimension, foster the inclusion of vulnerable groups, and strengthen community building. Yet, despite these far-reaching benefits, challenges remain in scaling urban food production.
In this Urban Lunch Talk, we will explore key questions: Where is it viable to implement urban food production? How did the COVID-19 pandemic influence the practice? What lessons have our panelists learned? And can their research and innovation projects be replicated and scaled up?
Join our panel of experts to learn about the latest insights and research on urban food production.
