Cities around Europe are striving to make walking, cycling, and other forms of active mobility the obvious and enjoyable choice for daily travel. Yet even with visions like the 15-minute City guiding urban planning, barriers remain – from unequal access to safe infrastructure to social and physical conditions that can limit who moves how.

In Urban Lunch Talk #46 on Boosting Active Mobility in the 15-minute City, we will dive into various aspects of active mobility. We will explore amongst other things what active mobility looks like in 2026, which barriers exist to more active mobility and how active mobility can be improved. We will also zoom in on regional differences and highlight key actors on the road to more inclusive and active cities in Europe.
