39 Projects Suggested for Funding in DUT Call 2025

39 research and innovation projects have been selected and suggested for funding in DUT Call 2025. The projects bring together a variety of actors from 32 countries. Over the next three years they will advance our understanding of some of the greatest urban challenges cities face today and directly support urban authorities in their efforts towards climate resilience and neutrality.

The fourth call for proposals of the Driving Urban Transitions (DUT) Partnership was launched in 2025, in close collaboration with 30 funders from 23 countries and the European Commission.  

As in previous years, the call generated significant interest, attracting 244 applications. More than 2150 project partners applied for approximately €278 million in the first stage. 102 proposals were invited to the second stage, from which 39 proposals were suggested for funding. This funding suggestion represents a financial commitment of approximately €46 million.   

 The following projects have been suggested for funding: 

AdaptHub, AI-4-BIOCITI, CE-LEBRATE, CIRCULATE‑15, COMGRID, CouPED, CROSS-PED, DESIGN4AGES, Dyna15Connect, ECO-PARC, EquiPED, FAIRSPACE, FAMILYflow, FlexPED, GLOWB, GRID4CITY, HEART, HOMEPEDS, INGRAIN, Just15Minutes, KICCO, NeurodiverCity, NightScapes, PathAble, PEDPower, REPAIR Urban Futures, Reprocity, Resilient Roots, S³L²OGR, SEMPLICE, SPA-PED, SROIs4PEDs, TOILED, TURNIPS, UOC, UrbCare, URB-NEX, WALK-UP4, WeGrowCircle

The projects suggested for funding address one or several call topics within the three Transition Pathways: 15-minute City (15mC), Circular Urban Economies (CUE) and Positive Energy Districts (PED).

Project participation

Close to 450 different organisations will participate in the projects. These project partners represent a broad variety of actors, including cities, universities, business, non-profit organisations and more.
