The DUT Call 2025 Is Now Open!

DUT’s annual funding opportunity for transnational research and innovation projects, DUT Call 2025, is now open. Approximately €44 million is available for collaborative projects that accelerate the transition to a climate neutral and resilient future for all.

25 countries are joining forces in the DUT Call 2025 to fund transformative research and innovation projects that drive urban transitions. Projects that focus on circular solutions, sustainable mobility, and renewable energy in cities, have the chance to collaborate on pressing challenges together with other countries across Europe and beyond. 

Who can apply? 

Applicants can be research organisations, companies and commercial organisations, urban government authorities, consumers and civil society representatives, and from the culture and creative sectors. 

What can you apply for? 

3-year research and innovation projects that focus on urban areas, in the context of achieving climate neutral and resilient cities. The call welcomes various urban disciplines including those with a strategic, applied and innovation focused angle. 

Projects should contribute to one or more of our three thematic areas, the Transition Pathways: 15-minute City, Circular Urban Economies and Positive Energy Districts.

How to participate? 

The call is open for pre-proposal applications from 1 September to 17 November 2025. Visit the DUT matchmaking platform to network and find project partners.
