First Results From DUT Call 2023: 42 Projects Suggested for Funding

The second call for proposals of the Driving Urban Transitions (DUT) Partnership was launched in 2023, in collaboration with 39 funding agencies from 27 countries and the European Commission. The call generated significant interest, attracting 183 applications from 25 EU countries, Canada, and the Republic of Korea.
Following a rigorous evaluation and selection process, 42 projects have been suggested for funding. This funding suggestion represents a substantial financial commitment of approximately €54 million, including contributions from the European Commission.

The projects suggested for funding address one or several of the nine call topics within the three Transition Pathways: Positive Energy Districts (PED), the 15-Minute City (15mC) and Circular Urban Economies (CUE).

Project participation
Over 500 different organisations will participate in the projects. These project partners represent a broad variety of actors, including cities, universities, business, non-profit organisations and more.
