DUT City Panel Meeting

10 October, 13:00 - 16:00 CET, online

Citywide Change vs. Local Interventions: Balancing System and Place-Based Approaches

About the event

The DUT City Panel is an opportunity for cities that are ambitious in driving urban transformation processes towards climate-neutrality to engage with DUT and have their say on DUT’s strategic priorities. This online meeting will focus on the balance between system innovation approaches and place-based approaches to transform our cities today for future challenges:

  • How do we understand systemic change and system innovation?
  • How do local demonstrations and place-based approaches contribute to system innovation?
  • How do system innovation approaches translate into local action?

Expected outcomes

Participants’ contributions are important in shaping the priorities of the DUT calls, which address key issues in facilitating urban transformation processes. In this online workshop, DUT coordinators will meet primarily with participants from local authorities to

    • collect and reflect on your key urban challenges in the fields of mobility, energy and circularity that can be taken up in our transnational European R&I programme, and to
    • co-create the priorities for applied research in the field of urban transformation processes
