The DUT Partnership is run by a hybrid team across Europe.

The following organisations are actively involved in its day-to-day coordination and management:

ANR, France

Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR) is a public administrative institution under the authority of the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation. The agency funds project-based research carried out by public operators cooperating with each other or with private companies.  Within DUT ANR is a member of the DUT Call Secretariat responsible of eligibility check, proposal evaluation and funding decisions. ANR coordinates the Knowledge Hubs, participating in the mainstreaming and valorisation of projects.  

AustriaTech, Austria

AustriaTech GmbH is a non-profit company and 100% subsidiary of the Federal Ministry for Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure (BMIMI). AustriaTech pursues the goal of maximising the social benefits of new mobility technologies and innovations and generating economic benefits by optimising future transport operations. In DUT AustriaTech collaborates in the strategic development of the Partnership and coordinates the 15-minute City Transition Pathway on urban mobility transitions.

ENEA, Italy

ENEA is the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development. The TERIN-ICER Division, a member of the DUT Partnership, promotes tools, models, and methodologies for urban and regional areas, supporting capacity building within innovation ecosystems related to renewable energy. Within DUT, ENEA coordinates capacity building efforts for the Transition Pathways, promoting support actions for urban public officers and practitioners.

FECYT, Spain

The Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), under the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, works with the mission of strengthening the relationship between science and society. It promotes the growth of scientific culture in Spain and encourages knowledge transfer through outreach, education, training, information, and advisory services. FECYT participates in DUT as an affiliated entity of the Spanish State Research Agency (AEI) and works with the monitoring of the Partnership, its calls and projects.

FFG, Austria

The Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) is the national funding institution for industry-related research and development in Austria. FFG is the coordinator of the DUT Partnership and contributes to the implementation of co-funded calls, partnering and international cooperation and strategic development of the partnership and the Transition Pathways. FFG coordinates the Positive Energy Districts (PED) Transition Pathway.

Formas, Sweden

Formas is a government research council for sustainable development. In DUT, Formas works with the calls, as well as the strategic development of the Partnership and the Transition Pathways and coordinates the Circular Urban Economies Transition Pathway.

IQS, Sweden

The Swedish Centre for Innovation and Quality in the Built Environment (IQS) is a Swedish member organisation that works to promote research and innovation in the built environment sector. IQS is responsible for communication and dissemination of the DUT Partnership’s and projects’ results, as well as for coordinating and managing events.

MUR, Italy

The Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) is the main RTD policy actor and funding agency at the national level in Italy. MUR oversees and coordinates the higher education sector and the national research system, identifying strategic orientations and priorities in the National Research Programme (PNR – Piano Nazionale della Ricerca). The Ministry also holds key responsibilities for international cooperation in science and technology and is responsible for coordinating Italy’s participation in the European Union’s Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.

Platform31, The Netherlands

Platform31 is a Dutch knowledge and network organisation that mostly operates on national, regional, and local levels – and collaborations between those. By connecting research, policymaking and daily practice we provide network partners with valuable feedback for shaping futureproof policies, strategies, regulations, approaches and solutions. 

In DUT, Platform31 contributes to strategic development, capacity building, and knowledge valorisation through its involvement in multiple work packages. It plays a key role in the Positive Energy Districts Transition Pathway and supports Dutch municipalities in connecting with European urban innovation. Platform31 also coordinates Urban Living Lab (ULL) activities within DUT, focusing on training, peer exchange, and community building.

PTJ, Germany

Project Management Jülich (PtJ) is the partner of the public sector in science, industry and politics and, with its expertise in research and innovation management, supports its clients at federal and state level as well as the European Commission in the implementation of research and innovation funding programmes. In DUT, PTJ works with the calls (PED Transition Pathway) and with DUT’s valorisation strategy.

UEFISCDI, Romania

The Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation Funding (UEFISCDI) is a public institution under the Ministry of Education and Research in Romania, with a legal mandate to fund and support higher education, research, development, and innovation at the national and European levels. UEFISCDI contributes to the implementation of the DUT co-funded calls and is in charge with the DUT submission and evaluation system (hosted on UDiManager), leading the activity of the DUT Call Secretariat and supporting the implementation of the DUT Projects Contact Point (PCP).

Viable Cities, Sweden

Viable Cities is a strategic innovation programme working towards the mission of Climate Neutral Cities 2030 with a good life for all within the boundaries of the planet. In DUT, Viable Cities works with mainstreaming evidence and experiences to drive urban transitions.
